Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief, has ignited controversy by reposting a tweet that suggests Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Zedong were not directly responsible for the deaths of millions. The post instead placed blame on “public sector workers” who carried out these atrocities.

The message read: “Stalin, Mao and Hitler didn’t murder millions of people. Their public sector workers did.” Musk shared this with his 219.6 million followers on X.
