Religion in America has been corrupted beyond recognition, twisted into a cynical political weapon wielded by those who have abandoned any genuine spiritual commitment. The terms "evangelical," "born-again," and "conservative Christian" have become empty brands serving as tribal identifiers in a culture war that has nothing to do with faith and everything to do with power.
This perversion is most glaring in how Christianity functions in our political landscape. Look beyond the pious rhetoric, and you'll find a grotesque mockery of the teachings these supposed believers claim to uphold. While Jesus embraced society's outcasts and condemned the wealthy, today's political Christianity celebrates wealth, demonizes outsiders, and weaponizes faith to inflict suffering on the vulnerable.
