Neil Gorsuch chose to spend four decades systematically dismantling the federal government's ability to protect the environment.

When 15-year-old Neil lashed out at his mother in 1983 — "You should never have resigned. You didn't do anything wrong. You only did what the President ordered. Why are you quitting? You raised me not to be a quitter. Why are you a quitter?" — he was just an angry kid whose mom had been humiliated on the national stage.¹

Little did America know it was witnessing the birth of a Supreme Court justice's life mission.

Anne Gorsuch had just become the first EPA administrator to resign in disgrace, booted from office after turning the Environmental Protection Agency into an industry playground and getting held in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over documents about her toxic waste scandal. Her son was "really upset," she later wrote in her memoir.
