One of Donald Trump’s keys to success is that we often focus too much on him and in doing so we obscure some of the people who deserve a second look. Trump, who truly is a creature born from some toxic DNA swamp always had the potential to seep into mainstream if given the right environment. Early in life he received too much “Dad” time when his mother was fighting mental health issues. His emerging psychopathy was “repackaged” at a home for troubled boys touted as a military prep school. A rich boy who came from the “wrong” side of the wealthy tracks, he had a chip on his shoulder that only a man like Roy Cohn could love. Like a shiny sphere in a pinball machine, he bounced from one creepy man to another learning their tricks and adding them into his now formidable quiver of self-serving arrows.
