Picture it: Greg Abbott, the rolling strongman of Texas, reduced to a quivering lapdog by a single phone call from his orange overlord. It’s political theater so pathetic that even Shakespeare would have deemed it too on-the-nose.
In July 2025, Abbott, playing hard to get like some coquettish debutante, was initially reluctant to pursue Trump’s redistricting scam. The governor knew his own congressional delegation was balking at the idea — these seasoned politicians could smell electoral suicide from a mile away. But then came the call. The master’s voice.
