I hate to break it to you kids. I feel like I'm that horrible big stepbrother telling my new mom's kids that Santa isn't real. But I'm not talking about Santa and childhood dreams—I am talking about your health, and I am doing everyone a favor, or at least trying to.
Look we all have tells. The poker player who touches his nose when he's bluffing. The politician who blinks rapidly when caught in a lie. The socialite who name-drops a touch too desperately at dinner parties. And then there's "A Midwestern Doctor"—the anonymous Substack sensation with 249,000 subscribers who claims to be board-certified but whose tells scream louder than a Times Square billboard: This person is not a doctor.
